If using the shoulder strap, it is PERFECT.All in all a really good buy. I usually carry my laptop in its sleeve and it holds very comfortable in this bag. Was very impressed with delivery time.Second thing, I love almost everything about this bag, alot of compartments, great size for my 17.1" hp laptop. The buckle on the front of the bag makes it awkward carrying when using the bag handle. First things first. I got this item like super fast. Great.It makes my heavy laptop feels pretty light carrying around, serious.Why not a 5 star.
There is a little bit of extra room, but nothing major (only about and inch). I wanted extra room to carry pens, note pads, power cord and adapter, and maybe a book or two.
This product arrived after only a week. There are some reviews that mentioned that the carry handle on the top of the flap pulls open the top corners and could expose your notebook to the elements.this is true.
This is a great product for the price and my purposes. It would be nice if the main compartment zipped closed, but for the price, I really don't see any reason to complain.
My 16 inch Toshiba fits in this bag very well, and the adjustable insert is almost pointless for a notebook of this size. I chose this bag because of the price and the extra pockets.
I don't find myself concerned by this because I'm using the shoulder strap.
or a widescreen it holds it perfectly and is well padded. just great for a large notebook. the targus tcg200 is great if you have a 18" notebook. it also has room for your cell phone mouse notebooks ect.the outside pockets are perfect for your boarding pass newspaper ect.
There is also a few more pockets to put stuff in. I like the zip down in front that has a place for cds, cell phone, and a hidden compartment for a water bottle. I especially like the luggage strap that is easy to attach to roller travel cases. The Targus TCG200 Messenger case was more than I expected. My 17" HP fits in perfectly with a little room to spare. It has plenty of room for all the cords you need.
The Targus Messenger Notebook Bag does just that. It is durable and does not hurt my shoulder and back which rates high on my list. I needed a 17" lap top only to discover how difficult it is to find a messenger style bag that will accomodate a lap top of that size. It is large enough to hold my lap top,all necessary documents and other tech equipment.
